Replacing Several Missing Teeth in a Row
What Are Implant-Supported Bridges?
An implant-supported bridge replaces several missing teeth in a row. Dental implants are placed in the jawbone, usually at each end of the gap, and a custom bridge of replacement teeth is attached to them. A traditional bridge relies on the natural teeth beside the gap for support. An implant-supported bridge is anchored in the jawbone instead, so those teeth don’t have to be reshaped.
Because the implants sit in the bone like roots, they can help preserve the jawbone beneath them. The bridge is designed to feel steady when you chew and speak, and it’s made to match the shape and shade of your natural teeth. Like natural teeth, it needs daily brushing, flossing, and regular checkups.
At your consultation, Dr. Awad will look at your 3D scan with you and explain whether a bridge, single implants, or another option fits you better. He places the implants and designs your bridge here in our office.
Benefits of Implant-Supported Bridges
Steady Support
Because the bridge is held by implants rather than your natural teeth, it’s designed to feel secure for everyday eating and speaking.
Helps Preserve the Jawbone
When teeth are missing, the bone beneath them can shrink over time. The implants holding your bridge sit in the jaw like roots, which can help preserve the bone in that area.
Designed to Look Natural
Your bridge is custom-made to match the color and shape of your surrounding teeth.

Why Trust St. Johns Smile Co?
Every implant-supported bridge starts with careful planning. We use an exam and a 3D scan to see the bone and the space, then explain your options in plain language so you can choose with confidence. Your bridge is designed around your bite and your smile.
As a family-owned practice, we focus on long-term relationships. You’ll see familiar faces at your visits here, and we’ll help you care for your bridge at your regular checkups. If dental visits make you nervous, tell us. We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral conscious sedation, and we’ll talk through whether either one is a good fit for your treatment.
